The 2024 Product Management Day, proudly hosted by 20tab in collaboration with Apropos, once again brought together Italy’s thriving product management community for an inspiring day of content, innovation, and collaboration. From exploring cutting-edge AI applications and sustainability to championing gender equality in tech, this year’s edition set the stage for deep dives into what truly matters for product managers today and tomorrow.
Here’s a look back at what made this year's conference, with more than 300 participants, unforgettable and a step forward in driving impactful change in our industry.
For 20tab, the Product Management Day is not just an annual event but a pivotal moment to bring together the community, share visions, and make tangible the values we believe in.
It serves as a platform to engage openly on the themes we care deeply about and that guide every one of our projects: quality, user-centricity, innovation, and sustainability. Organizing and participating in this conference means applying our expertise, embracing new perspectives, and continuing to grow as a company and as individuals.
For us, the Product Management Day is an opportunity to make an impact, push the conversation further, and, most importantly, create value for the entire community.
This year, for the first time, we partnered with Apropos, bringing the conference into the GrUSP ecosystem. While our colleagues expertly handled logistics and administration, we maintained our role in steering the scientific direction.
That's right, because for those of us who make products every day, like the event's attendees, it's essential that Product Management Day is about content.
And this year, we wanted to focus on current issues that every product manager and every product team experiences first hand, but with an eye firmly fixed on the future, on those aspects that will soon become central.
We talked about co-design and the central role of the user in the construction of the product; we talked about Artificial Intelligence applied to our sector, thinking about real approaches and not getting caught up in the 'wow' effect; we talked about sustainability, taking our impact seriously today and not running the risk of becoming irrelevant tomorrow. And then we talked about gender equality, but we also made an effort to put it on stage, creating the most balanced edition, giving space to female product professionals, with their backgrounds, their skills and their point of view.
The many speakers who took turns on the double track, presenting content that passed an initial selection of over 100 proposals, brought all this to the attention of the participants.
From the keynote speakers, Maja Voje - for the first time in Italy to speak about Go-To-Market and AI - and Gabriele Giaccari, Head of Product at 20tab, with a talk focusing on logical thinking applied to product management. Then Paola Bisogno, Sara Religi, Alex Pagnoni, Veronica Di Marco, Martina Santoro and Lorenzo Panizza, Francesco Fullone, Despina Kitsou, Elisabetta Olgiati, Christian Miranti, Lara D'Argento and Titina Pignatelli, Rosario Marrazzo. Also Giorgio Gatti and Paolo Sammicheli from Agile Education, Emanuele Mantovani and Andrea Sironi from Intré, Federico De Pillis and Pietro Acunzo from BIP, Emmanuel Mazzucchi from Conflux.
Each of these speakers, with their own wealth of experience, challenged us to look at our work from new perspectives, to break old patterns and open up new horizons.
The other aspect that has always characterised the Product Management Day is networking: this is a place where people talk, discuss, shake hands and make real connections.
What may have seemed like pauses between sessions were moments of pure energy: ideas mixing, professionals meeting and collaborations being born. It is a unique pleasure every time, even for us at 20tab, this year with a stand where we had the pleasure of talking to so many participants. It is the moment when we reunite with the event's loyalists, colleagues, other companies and, of course, new participants: it is the moment when we symbolically embrace the Italian product community, which is getting bigger and more enthusiastic every year.
For us, it was also the perfect opportunity to present Seedz, our latest product, which was much appreciated by the product managers and product teams in attendance: a tool that will change the way we and many other insiders work.
If you weren't there or haven't tried it yet, you can sign up now and give it a try. Register for Seedz!
When we say the conference is a place for sharing and growth, we really mean it.
And that is what makes it a unique event.
As we close this edition, we are already looking to the future: 2025 is just around the corner and we are already thinking about how to make it even more meaningful.
Thank you to all participants for a day full of emotions and comparisons. We will immediately get to work on the next edition, starting with the feedback we received, with new ideas and new content. Always with the same desire to put the product first.
